Australian Communities Foundation

ACF – as Australian Communities Foundation is commonly known - was established as the first independent community foundation in Australia in 1997. It provides a tax effective umbrella to enable individuals, families, groups of like minded people, charitable organisations and business to establish charitable sub-funds. The income from the pooled funds is then used for the ongoing good of the community through grants which are made to charitable organisations and projects.

The interests of ACF’s donors are varied and diverse and each sub fund brings its unique character to its grantmaking. However all donors do share the desire to assist make our community a better, more equitable and just place for all its citizens.

Since establishment ACF has made grants total over $7M.  It currently has 115 sub-funds and  over $35M in assets.  There are no establishment fees and sub-funds can be established with a minimum of $5,000.    For more information visit the ACF website:  www.communityfoundation.org.au
